Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before using FairFetch.

Last updated: 25 March 2026

1. About FairFetch

FairFetch Ltd (“FairFetch”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at fairfetch.co.uk and the associated dashboard at dashboard.fairfetch.co.uk. FairFetch is a UK-based veterinary price comparison platform that helps pet owners find and compare transparent pricing at registered veterinary practices across the United Kingdom, in line with the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) remedies for the veterinary sector. By accessing or using FairFetch you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the service immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FairFetch. By using the platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. Veterinary practices registering on the dashboard confirm that the person completing registration is authorised to act on behalf of the practice and to enter into binding agreements.

3. For pet owners — using the comparison service

  • FairFetch is free to use for pet owners. We do not charge for searching, comparing, or viewing vet pricing information.
  • Prices displayed on FairFetch are published by, and are the sole responsibility of, the individual veterinary practices. FairFetch transmits this data but does not independently verify every price or service description.
  • Prices represent a practice’s published standard fees and may not reflect your specific clinical situation. Always contact the practice to confirm pricing before proceeding with treatment.
  • FairFetch is not a veterinary service and does not provide clinical advice. Nothing on this platform should be treated as a substitute for professional veterinary consultation.
  • Location data you provide (city, postcode, or GPS coordinates) is used solely to return relevant search results and is not stored against your identity.

4. For veterinary practices — listing terms

By registering a practice on FairFetch and publishing a listing, you agree to the following:

  • All information submitted, including prices, opening hours, contact details, and RCVS registration numbers, must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date.
  • You acknowledge that publishing transparent prices is a requirement under the CMA’s veterinary remedies and that FairFetch facilitates — but does not guarantee — compliance with those requirements. Legal responsibility for compliance remains with the practice.
  • You grant FairFetch a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your submitted information, including practice name, logo, prices, and description, on fairfetch.co.uk for the duration of your subscription.
  • You must be an RCVS-registered practice or act on behalf of one. FairFetch reserves the right to verify registration and to remove listings that cannot be verified.
  • Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payment is processed by Stripe and governed by Stripe’s own terms.
  • FairFetch may suspend or permanently remove a listing that breaches these terms, contains false or misleading information, or is the subject of a regulatory investigation.

5. Acceptable use

When using FairFetch you must not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform by automated means.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure.
  • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory content.
  • Use the platform to harass, impersonate, or harm any person or organisation.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or any harmful code.
  • Use FairFetch data to build a competing service without our prior written consent.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user or practice that breaches these rules.

6. Intellectual property

All content on fairfetch.co.uk that is not supplied by a third-party veterinary practice — including the FairFetch name, logo, design, software, and editorial text — is owned by FairFetch Ltd and protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission. Practice-supplied content (prices, descriptions, images) remains the intellectual property of the respective practice.

7. Third-party links and services

FairFetch may link to external websites (e.g. GOV.UK, RCVS, individual practice websites). We have no control over third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Links do not imply endorsement.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

FairFetch is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, FairFetch Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Inaccuracies in prices or service descriptions published by veterinary practices.
  • Any clinical decision made on the basis of information found on this platform.
  • Loss of profits, data, or business arising from use of or inability to use the service.
  • Actions taken by third-party veterinary practices listed on the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the platform and these Terms of Use at any time. Registered practice users will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of FairFetch following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The most current version is always available at fairfetch.co.uk/terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@fairfetch.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve it promptly.
